What is Union Berlin International (UBI)?

UBI is a community for international Union Berlin fans — both those living in Berlin or elsewhere in Germany, and organized fan clubs around the world. Whether you’ve just moved to Berlin from abroad or you’re cheering for Union from another country before moving to Germany, UBI helps you feel connected, welcomed, and part of something bigger.

Who is UBI for?

  • International Unioner based in Berlin or anywhere in Germany? You’re welcome — and so are local Germam fans who want to connect with the international community.
  • New supporters looking for a community and shared matchday experiences

  • Union Berlin fans who are not part of international fan clubs or not living in Germany
  • Fans from other clubs other than FCU

What does UBI do?

We:

  • Connect international Union fans through WhatsApp and meetups
  • Facilitate ticket exchanges, matchday coordination, and community support
  • Offer a forum-like community with discussions about the club, match experiences, and ways to get involved

Do I need to speak German?

No. UBI was created precisely for international fans, many of whom don’t speak fluent German. We use English as our main language to make the community accessible and inclusive.

How do I join?

  • Join our WhatsApp Community — just reach out and we’ll guide you to the right group (matchday chat, ticket exchange, etc.)
  • Follow us on Instagram, Twitter/Bluesky, or visit our website to stay updated

Does UBI sell tickets?

No — UBI is not a ticket provider. But we help members connect with each other when someone has a spare or needs help understanding the ticketing system.

Is UBI official?

UBI is a fan-led network, not an official fan club, and is not run by 1. FC Union Berlin. However, we align with the club’s values of solidarity, authenticity, and community, and we’re in contact with the club’s fan liaison when needed.

What are UBI’s values?

  • Welcoming: You don’t have to be from Berlin to feel at home here.
  • Inclusive: All backgrounds and levels of engagement are welcome.
  • Fan-first: We’re here to support each other and keep Union’s spirit alive.

  • Be kind and inclusive — all backgrounds and identities welcome
  • Stay respectful, even in disagreement
  • No spam or trolling
  • No gatekeeping — all Union fans belong here
